Reflection
I was learning to look at the characters from Cry of the Taniwha, identify their personalities and how they behave (in other words their charcteristics). This is called a prejudice mind map and I used this to help me to find the evidence of how the characters behaved. I enjoyed thinking of ways to descibe Skulla. My next step is to try this same prejudice map with a different story.

You are right that people's first impressions of Skulla are very negative but nobody is bad to the core are they? There are definitely parts of his character worth celebrating.
